It appears that Dr. Rowan William hasn’t learned his lesson. Following his much criticised comments last year, the Archbishop has claimed that Christians are suffering in the Middle East as a result of US foreign policy. But what’s interesting is that the Archbishop felt the need to also lay the suffering at the hands of what he called the “unfriendly form of Islam.”
For a man who faced this and this only a few short months ago, you’d have thought he would avoid the subject of “unfriendly Islam” at all cost.

Why should he avoid the term “unfriendly Islam”. That is exactly what it is…and Muslims around the world would say even that is stretching it…”unfriendly Muslims” aren’t part of Islam and what it represents. It is a peaceful religion with many great teachings for Christians, Jews and Mulsims alike…the fundamental aspects of it are what the media focus on and therefore terms like this are born…media’s fault no one elses. He is great man and we should all listen to what he has to say – and terms like this are better than some of the words the media uses to instill hate and fear in our society.

I totally disagree Roslyn. Following the disaster of his Sharia Law comments I think using the term “unfriendly Islam” was unadvisable. There are so many other words he could have used to portray his message.
